Your next step is to upgrade to family member. Then you can start adding your family branches. The greeter on duty will post more info on getting started. I recommend you start by adding a few profiles manually so you can understand the process. If you want to use a gedcom file, start with a very small file so you can try out that process too. If you do decide to use a gedcom file, there's an app, AGC, to help you clean up the formatting. The app list is under the Find drop down menu.
