Looking for guidance on sourcing French 1500's profile

I am the owner of the Dubreuil One Name Study and am wondering if there are databases I can search for primary source records other than Ancestry that may be more complete and/or more accurate, as I've noticed lots of transcription errors on Ancestry.

Family search a une pas pire base de donnée....

C'est la base qui est généralement recommandée par wikipedia

Sorry, I assumed you speak french... There is a solid data base on family search

getting into 1500s, you want original records as much as possible.  This isn't always available, but you should check out the Space page: France Project Reliable Sources which has the main guidelines.  Pre-1500 gets even stricter.
