Search Profiles in same geografical area and time?

Hi!

Is it possible to make a search of profiles on locations and dates?

Say I want to check all the profiles in a small town in the year 1750. Is it possible to make that search and get all the profiles that would have lived there at that time?

Are you aware of WikiTree+ ?

This is a search for profiles with a life event in Skinnskatteberg, set to sort profiles by birth date. You need to click the blue button for GET PROFILES.

I think this is still done on the data dump made every Sunday morning, so recently created profiles don't show up. There may be search queries to limit the timespan; I use those too rarely to remember them by heart.

Also, the system of location categories for Sweden is pretty comprehensively built out - so if people have used the available category for your location, that may be some help. Categories sort people by last name, so people from different timespan are jumbled together.

I have googled a name, place, and time span to find some profiles.  For instance you might Google

“Horton Southold wikitree 1750..1800”

This Is a bit cumbersome because you don’t get a list but you do get several Horton names in that time period in Southold.

You might check to see if your small town has a category (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Regions). Profiles of people who have a connection to the towns are listed and have dates, but I don't think there is a way to filter them to a specific date or range. You might get you closer than Google.
