Area family comes from

Question

Is there a way that you can add an area to the part on Wiki-tree where you put in the name of a family you want to find, either christian and surname but area or country, specific, as sometimes the thought/task of trolling through several thousands of hits is just too much to cope with. Starting off with enthusiasm which gradually disappears as time runs out and you start to feel that you are treading through treacle and getting nowhere.

If you go to the regular People: Search from the drop-down lists on the top right of WikiTree screens, then at the very bottom is an option to use Google to assist your search.  You can type names and place-names in there.  I suggest trying with and without various quotation marks " and plus symbols +.  It works pretty well.

Thanks I will try I guess variation has to be the key to find information. I have found with the DNA results if an area comes up I can just about, can figure out what side of the family I am dealing with.
