Children of Henriette Bade Dahlke and Wilhelm A F Dahlke would be:  Anna, Charles and William Jr. all born in Whiteside County, Illinois between 1870 and 1874.  Supposedly William A F Dahlke immigrated in 1866 or 1867 from Prussia.  Henriette Bade Dahlke disappears after child three is born. Then Wilhelm A F Dahlke marries Wilhelmina Bursch in Whiteside County, Illinois in 1876 Jun 7.  Wilhelmina Bursch Dahlke aka Minnie and Wilhelm A F Dahlke go on to have eight more children and they raise the first three as well.

Thank you for your findings.  However I have had an opportunity to pursue this particular Wilhelm August Dahlke born in November of 1842 to Johann Dahlke and Wilhelmina (Kroll) Dahlke.  - this man went on to become a minister and died on the East Coast of the United States in 1916.  The Wilhelm A F Dahlke I refer to died in Buffalo County Nebraska in 1912 March.  Thank you again.  Larry Dahlke here in Bend, Oregon.
Dieter, do you have access to Ancestry.com?  I have a tree there of some substance.  My Father was Gordon Everett Dahlke, My Mother was Mildrend Marcella Barrett. My Father's Mother was Hortense aka Tensi Johnson and his Father was Otto Emil Dahlke whose Father was Wilhelm A F Dahlke. . .beyond that I am without proof.

I have ancestry.de, but I can see US trees. I found another tree with the birth date:

24 NOV 1842 Pösen, Saale-Holzland-Kreis, Thüringen, Germany, (location is the location where it is today).

Pösen is a Weiler (hamlet) and belongs to the municipality Bucha in Thüringen. The church books for Bucha are online avaible. But I cannot find the birth/baptism there.

I will look tomorrow if the went to another surch in the surrounding parishes (that happens sometimes.).

I know more than one person has shown the wrong Wilhelm A F Dahlke’s birthdate to be 24 Nov 1842.  There is in fact a Wilhelm August Dahlke born to Johann Dahlke and Wilhelmina (Kroll) Dahlke on that date and I believe others have assumed it is my Great Grandfather. . .but I am sorry to report it is not.  That Wilhelm August Dahlke became a minister and ended up dying in the Eastern part of the USA in 1916.  My Great Grandfather died in March 1912 in Buffalo County, Nebraska of a very bad cold.  He was buried in the old Watertown Cemetery outside of a ghost town named Watertown in Buffalo County, Nebraska.  I have his death certificate.  If you trace Wilhelm August Dahlke of whom you refer you will find he was a minister and he died in 1916.  They are not one in the same even though they appear to have been born in the same month and year as the other. . .November 1842.  Thanks again.

There is an unsourced ancestry tree that says he was born in Lobsens, Prussia (now Lobzenica, Poland).

Maybe someone with more knowledge like Dieter can tell you what, if any, records might be available there.

Thanks Roger that is nice. Today I am buissy with the Thon and tomorrow I am not at home.

I am back on Tuesday; then I can have a look into archion. some Lobsens church books are online avaible.
Roger Stong, I am sorry  I cannot confirm where in Prussia he was born. . .I have a 1900 Federal Census with him being in Buffalo County, Nebraska at that time.  He reports his birth month and year to be November 1842 and country to be Germany - however in other census reports he shows his birth place to be Prussia.  Perhaps Dieter Lewerenz can find something of substance in Lobsens Church books.  Larry Dahlke here in Bend, Oregon
