One of our community members has passed away, Scott Keeney.

I heard about this through Nick Andreola, who sought out a way to take over management of the profiles that Scotty had started. Nick wrote, "Taking over as PM for him is the best way I could think of to honor him and his efforts here."
I didn't know Scott personally, but he was a member for over a year and made hundreds of contributions, right up until shortly before his passing a few weeks ago.
From Scott's profile page: "The first house I can remember living in was at 2437 Drury in Kansas City. Funny I can remember that address after these 70 years but not quite sure what I had for lunch yesterday. Can't remember the phone number but I could for quite a while. It was a large two-story White House with a porch on both floors. My parents planned on having lots of kids, thus the space, but they ended up with only me."
He did three tours of duty in Vietnam in the US Navy.
From his obituary: "He was an avid sailor (an 'old salt') and chartered sailboats to the Florida Keys with close friends Barb and Paul Cartwright. He was a real Christian who was active in several homeless ministries including the homeless veterans. He gave endless hours of his time cooking, providing clothes, and programs like the shower ministries at New Day Christian Church. He supported numerous international missionaries. Scott always voluntarily provided generous support without any need or want of fanfare or recognition."
