Where is Fortesset?

In early Hicks profiles on wikitree there is repeated reference to a place name called Fortesset in Gloucestershire - eg. Hicks-730. I can't find any reference to Fortesset outside online family trees, which makes me think it could either be a corruption of a real place name (Frocester?), mistranscription, or just plain made up- but does anyone else have any knowledge of how it came about?

There was a family Fortesset in Gloucestershire, that appears to have been landed, so perhaps their seat was known by the family name.
Hi Melanie, have you seen a source for the Fortesset family?

Thanks

I have no idea how accurate it may be, as I don't delve beyond 1500 (more than enough to keep be busy 1501 and on) -- but here's one : Lady Elizabeth Fortesset (1415–1455) • FamilySearch

Thanks Melanie, I’m still not sure where the information has come from originally.
The father of the Elizabeth Melanie linked to is written FortesseNt (Cap for emphasis). Maybe that helps a bit further.
