UJ9343921 is my gedmatch number. Im looking for other Decendants of the Putnam family of Salem Massachusetts and the Puttenham family of England. To compare DNA and see what branch we actually belong to. The lineage after Richard Putnam of Eddlesborough is debated because lack of proof.

Hello Joseph,

Richard Putnam lived too many generations ago for your AncestryDNA (autosomal DNA) test to be much use.  I recommend you order at least a Y-DNA37 test from Family Tree DNA.  The Y-DNA37 test is a Y chromosome test which only follows your direct paternal (Putnam) line.

A less effective (but free) alternative is to follow the instructions at

I got R1B1A2A1A2C r1b-m529 (r1b-l459).

Good to hear.  https://www.yfull.com/tree/ shows that the M529 SNP is equivalent to the L21 SNP which is recognized by more people.

I recommend you list your Y haplogroup as R-L21

in the note field for your Y-DNA test information say something like: On Nov 24, 2020 MorleyDNA.com reported "R1B1A2A1A2C r1b-m529 (r1b-l459)" which according to the Y-Full tree is equivalent to R-L21.

Here is the ancient migration of your direct paternal line

http://scaledinnovation.com/gg/snpTracker.html?snp=L21

and the ancestry of the L21 SNP

http://scaledinnovation.com/gg/snpTracker.html?snp=L21&tab=snps

I found online a list my supposed R-M269. I suppose despite the paper trail I don't match? Is that what this means?
If you look at

http://scaledinnovation.com/gg/snpTracker.html?snp=L21&tab=snps

then you can see that R-M269 is an ancestor of R-L21.  Everyone who has the L21 SNP also has the M269 SNP.

If he is a Putnam and you both had Big Y-700 tests (or even Y-DNA37 tests) then the results would likely confirm that you are related to each other on your direct paternal lines in a genealogical time frame.
Thank you so much. I can be almost certain im descendant of Sir Roger de Puttenham. I just can't prove what lineage is correct.
