In contemplating the logic of H. Allen Curtis for Henry being the father of Roger Dudley.
1. If Henry the conspirator is older than Edward the baron (several "records" show Edward the younger brother) and Henry has the crescent cadet symbol on his coat of arms, then Edward the baron would have to have a star on his coat of arms, which I don't believe is the case. ...so, Edward's birthdate needs to be before Henry's... Or neither Henry and the mystery Robert had male children, then Edward would be the heir and the next younger brother of Edward & Henry with children, let's call him "Thomas", would get the crescent and be the father of Roger.
2. If Edward the baron is older than Henry, which makes more sense, then Edward does not have a cadet sign and Henry has a crescent. But if Henry did not have children, which there is no evidence yet that he did, then the next brother in line with children "Thomas" would get the Crescent on his coat of arms and would be the father of Roger. The "Thomas" possibility seems more likely than an uncelebrated marriage and childbirth of a famous Knight like Henry.
...so, T. Allen Curtis could be one sibling off in the logic progression (not saying he his, just saying it is possible).
