Biography

1776 Project
Private Joseph Dunham served with Capt. Nathaniel Fales' Company, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Joseph was born about 1756. He was the son of Elijah Dunham. He married Mary "Polly" (Staples) Chatto, widow of Charles Chatto, February 25th, 1811 in Deer Isle. [1] He passed away in 1834.

Revolutionary War Service

Private, Capt. Nathaniel Fale's co; enlisted Aug. 3, 1779; discharged Aug. 15, 1779; service, 13 days; company marched on expedition to Majorbagaduce by order of Gen. Lovell[2][3][4]
