Biography

Private Elijah Dunham Jr served with Capt. Nathaniel Fales' Company, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Elijah Dunham Jr was born about 1754 most likely in St. George or Warren to parents [[Elijah Dunham Sr and Joan Silloway.^{[citation needed]} He married, first, Tamsen Haskell in about 1779.^{[citation needed]} Together they had the following children:

1. Abigail Haskell Dunham b. 28 Jan 1780^[1]
2. Tamson Dunham b. 24 Jun 1782^[2]
3. Joshua Dunham b. 15 Jun 1785^[3]
4. Thomas Haskell Dunham b. 4 Dec 1788^[4]
5. Johannah Haskell b. 5 Jul 1792^[5]
6. Eunice Haskell b. 25 Nov 1796^[6]

After Tamsen passed away in 1797, Elijah married, second, Joanna (Silloway) Choate, widow of John Choat, on June 2nd, 1798 in Deer Isle.^[7] After Joanna died in 1829, Elijah married, third, Polly (Morey) Elias.^{[citation needed]} Together they had two or three children:

1. Lucretia (Dunham) Dunbar b. abt. 1836
2. Charles (Dunham) Morey b. 10 Jul 1845
3. Mary Dunhan possibly died young

Elijah passed away on February 25th, 1844 ^[8]in Deer Isle.

Private, Capt. Nathaniel Fale's co; enlisted Aug. 3, 1779; discharged Aug. 15, 1779; service, 13 days; company marched on expedition to Majorbagaduce by order of Gen. Lovell^{[9][10][11][12]}
