George has been sitting in my database since the 1990s because of his Morebattle connection, awaiting further information as to his origins, and any connection to my other RICHARDSONs, also of Morebattle.
All (most) things come to those who wait.
The recent activity on the Bermuda tailor, James led to a search for the fate of his siblings.
Up popped George into view again.
With the newfound knowledge of the family, George provides additional circumstantial evidence that his father James, remarried (to Christian OUTERSON) after being widowed by the death of wife Margaret MABON/MAYBEN at the birth of their daughter Margaret.
George emigrates to Omro, Winnebago, Wisconsin and is there by 1860 as is his assumed stepmother Christian, and his assumed stepbrother Robert.
There's also what looks like step brother David in Oneida, NY by 1850, who names his daughter Ella Meldrum RICHARDSON, which middle name could be accounted for by George's wife being Margaret MELDRUM.[5][1][8][11]
