James Richardson of Hamilton Bermuda, assumed to be the 1879 obit which mentions two tailor brothers, and by implication, a third brother, John, in North Georgetown (QUE), and a sister Mrs Sameul Moffatt of Beech Ridge (QUE).

a death notice of a Thomas Richardson who died in Oneida, NY, in 1880, and who is identified as the brother of the late James Richardson of Hamilton, Bermuda.

There is sufficient information here to indicate that this is the family of James RICHARDSON & Margaret MABON, who had children baptized at the Morebattle Gateshaw sessions: William (1796), John (1797), Elizabeth (1800), James (1802), Thomas (1805), George (1807), Henry (1810), and Margaret (1812).

An Elizabeth Maben RICHARDSON is listed in the Drouin collection records as the relict of Samuel MOFFAT of Beech Ridge.

This family being connected to the family of James RICHARDSON and Christian OUTERSON, both by marriage *, and location, if not yet proven to be more closely related.

• James in Bermuda was the grandfather ofa Mrs W M RICHARDSON. William Meade R. being a descendant of the James married to Christian, and a photographer in Bermuda with two of his brothers in the 1880s before returning to Wisconsin.

DNA

We now have a y- (and at-) DNA tested descendant of James. More atDNA tested descendants would be great, as to date, it looks like connections between the families of interest is back beyond the reach of the current atDNA tested Richardson of Morebattle descendants.

Any direct male line RICHARDSON descendant of any of the remaining families listed at extended RICHARDSON families with Morebattle connections would still be most welcome.
