Biography

Mary Jane Garden was born on 20 August 1878 in Mortlach, Banffshire, Scotland. She is the daughter of Peter Garden and Jessie Forsyth. Her baptism took place on 25 August 1878 at Our Lady of the Assumption in Dufftown, Banffshire. The sponsor at her baptism was Ellen Grant.^[1]

Mary is listed as the informant on the death registration forms for both of her parents, Peter in 1916 & Jessie in 1925.^[2][3]
