Biography
Birth
George Garden was born on 4 April 1869 in Buckie, Banffshire, Scotland. He was the son of Peter Garden and Jessie Forsyth. His birth was registered by his father on 10 April 1869 in Rathven, Banffshire, Scotland.[1][2] George was baptised on 11 April 1869 at St Peter in Buckie. His sponsors are listed as George Geddes and Jane Forsyth.[3]
Marriage & Children
He married Isabel McPhail on 15 May 1895 in Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa. He was a 26-year-old bachelor at the time of the marriage.[4][5] The children born of this marriage were Winifred Jessie Garden, Douglas Alexander Garden, Edward George Garden, Travis John Charles Garden and Gordon Gladstone Garden.[2]
Death
George Garden passed away on 25 December 1927 at Maxwell Mansions in Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.[2]
