Hello, I am very familiar with the Baby family, they were the "other" black family along with mine in the Joyfield Township of Benzie County, Michigan. They were my Davis family neighbors! I have photos of there house-rebuilt house, etc. Are you connected to the Baby's or is this done on behalf of the US Black Heritage Project? I can share the photos.

Hi, Shelley! So nice to hear from you. I would love to add you to my Black Joyfield Township profiles. I'm not part of the US Black Heritage Project but have created and manage many profiles for the Black Union soldiers of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, as well as their families, which is how I got interested in the amazing families in that area. There are so many amazing stories in Joyfield Township, and you probably already know there's a newspaper archive there that is priceless!
