Biography

The "Early Births" register of Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay Colony, states that Stephen King, son of John & Bathshua King, was born on 5 June 1698. ^[1][2] He died at Harwich on 08 February 1717/18.^[2]

He married Abigail Atwood on 13 October 1715 at Eastham. She was the daughter of Medad and Esther (Cole) Atwood, born Eastham on 15 June 1689.^[2]

John King of Harwich, most-likely his father, was granted administration on the estate of Stephen King, late of Harwich, on 24 [illegible month] 1717/18.^[2][3]

1. Stephen King, b. 22 Dec 1717; probably the one who married Hannah Peirce; mentioned in his grandfather, John King's will.
