Ebenezer was born in Harwich, Barnstable County, Massachusetts on 15 June 1700, the son of John King[1]. Ebenezer was named in his father's will which was dated 18 Nov 1752 and probated on 1 May 1753[2].

Marriage and Children

Ebenezer married his third cousin, Mercy Merrick, at Harwich, Massachusetts, on 13 Oct 1726[3]. The couple had eight children[4]:

  6. Barzillai King (bef.1737-)
  7. Alice King (bef.1740-)
  8. Mercy King (bef.1742-)

Some time about 1742 this family moved from Harwich to Frederickstown in the Philipse Patent, Dutchess County, New York. Ebenezer was a tenant on lot 8 (later Southeast, NY) in 1754. He was assessed in the Southern District of Dutchess Co from 1746-1770.[7]

Death

Ebenezer passed away before 1790, probably at Philipse Patent, Dutchess County (later Putnam Co), New York[7]. To date, no will has been located.
