Biography

Abigail Atwood was born on 15 June 1689 in Eastham, Plymouth Colony, the daughter of Medad and Esther (Cole) Atwood. She married at Eastham to Stephen King on 13 October 1715. He was the son of John and Bathshua (Snow) King, and a descendant of Mayflower passenger Stephen Hopkins. Abigail was called his widow as late as 1733, after he had died in Harwich on 08 February 1717/18. But see research note, below.
