Reubena Wright was born in 1890 in Pōkeno, Waikato, New Zealand. She was the daughter of Thomas Wright and Scottish-born Mary Graham. [1] Her name was spelled "Roubena" on her birth record, but is spelled Reubena or Rubena in records after her birth.
Reubena’s father died in 1897 in Pokeno. Reubena’s mother was left a widow with eight children aged two years to 13 years old. Reubena was only six years old at the time. Reubena’s mother would remarry two years later to Charles William Landon.
Marriage
In 1919, Reubena married Stenton Robert “Stan” Seymour. [2] Their son Rodney Collingwood Seymour was born in 1923.
Death
Reubena‘s husband Stenton died in 1979.
Reubena passed away in 1991. [3]
