Biography

Birth

Mary "Mercy" Wing was born on 7 Jul 1785, the daughter of Reuben Wing and Priscilla (Unknown) Wing. The place of birth is unknown, but it was probably somewhere in the District of Maine in Massachusetts, United States. Her birth was recorded at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts),^[1] almost certainly after her parents moved there, sometime in the 1790s.

Marriage

Mercy Wing married Azael Lovejoy.^[2] Azael Lovejoy and Mercy Wing published their intention to marry at Fayette, Maine (then in Massachusetts), on 17 Dec 1803.^[3] Their first child was recorded at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), on 16 Mar 1804.^[4]

Death

The Wing genealogy says that Mercy (Wing) Lovejoy died in 1838,^[2] but her gravestone shows the date 13 Dec 1846.
