Biography

Birth

Shubel Wing was born on 1 Apr 1787, the son of Reuben Wing and Priscilla (Unknown) Wing. The birth was recorded at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts),^[1] almost certainly after his parents moved there, sometime in the 1790s.

Marriage

On 9 Jan 1808, Shubael Wing and Nabby Landers, both of Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), published at Livermore their intention to marry.^[2]

Death

No record has been found of the death of Shubael Wing. Probate records for Shubael Wing can be found on Ancestry.com - (37 images) - administration papers are initially dated November 20, 1857. A FindAGrave memorial with no photo and citing no sources says that he is buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in Wayne, Maine.^[3] A gravestone at the cemetery bears the name of Abigail, the wife of Shubael Wing.^[4]

Probate

At Winthrop, Maine on Nov 20th 1857, heirs to the estate of the late Shubael Wing of Winthrop, deceased, requested the judge of probate for the county of Kennebec to appoint Oakes Howard to administer the estate.
