Paternal line Y-chromosome DNA test-takers:
John's first child was born when the father was ten years old. Elizabeth birthed babies from the time she was fifteen until she was 58. I'd feel sorry for her, but, surely, this is incorrect. I wish I could be of help, but my Wheatleys are a mess. The longer I work with them, I think several John and Thomas Wheatleys have been intertwined with one another. Unfortunately, I have little documentation to help direct the way.
Whitley-1428 and Whitley-1427 do not represent the same person because: associated records need much sorting out, but nothing to indicate they are the same person
It appears that the Whitley's had children over a period of 43 years which seems highly unlikely. The acual parentage and DOB of all of their listed children should be researched.
Please see the message on Whitley-1419. Issues are spelling of the last name at birth and searching for the lowest numbered profile of the correct spelling (once that is identified).
So for now, am collecting duplicates as unmerged matches. Thanks!
These certainly represent the same person, but am not making a merge proposal at this time, because we only want to merge into the lowest numbered profile of the correct spelling of the last name at birth.
Assuming neither of these are the lowest numbered profile of the correct spelling (and assuming also there are spelling variations), the target profile for all duplicates should be identified before any merges are proposed. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Merging#Merging_multiple_duplicates
Please let me know, if I can be of any help. Thanks!
