Mary, yes I wish to continue working with this project. I recently moved into an assisted living facility but I still have my computer and resources. My specialty is New Hampshire WWI veterans including women who served and I would like to work on those specifically. Thanks for the 2024 check in and for your hard work as Project Coordinator.

Thank you for checking in, Janice. I marked you active. Your new project will help. Be sure to link on the Military and War Project page. Or at least on the WWI page. Will it be a space page?? with the names listed there?

I have documented ALL of the men and women of NH who died during WWI and also created additional lists of some who survived (on a NH blog I write). I specialize in women of NH and nurses who died during WWI. I notice that there are no war categories specific to women who served as nurses, or as telephone operators, as not all nurses served in the Nurses Corps, and that group was not at the time considered military service (same for telephone operators). So I can create the profiles but I can't categorize them because of that. Open to suggestions. And I can create a Space page for these entries if you think that is a good idea.

Addendum. The only free space page I can see connected with WWI women is here, and it does not apply to the project I wish to create. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Women_in_the_Great_War

Janice, I used my own profile to find the Nurses. This cat https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Occupations brings all the healthcare

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Health_Care_Occupations Then from that are https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Nurses and Civil War Nurses, and WWI nurses are there. Will that help?

This Category is perfect. It would be nice to also have a sticker for Nurse(s) in the Great War/WWI.

yes for the 2024 year you could create a Free space page for nurses and Telephone operators. Mary

Hi Janice,

I have removed myself as manager of Fred Vernon Dale if you wish to take that profile over. It took me a while to figure out that I must have created him in response to a request for help with profiles of Governors and their kin. In any case, I have no special interest in his profile.

Colleen

Colleen, you would have been fine as manager :) I have adopted it since it is now an orphan. I added to it because his son was a New Hampshire governor, and I have been updating and sourcing the NH Governor's project as a subset of the Notables project. At any rate, THANK YOU for creating it and adding some information that was helpful when I researched. Best wishes to you! Let me know if you need help with any New Hampshire people.

Hey Janice, here comes another cousin! Your 8th, through our common gr great grandmother, Elizabeth Tuttle. I am a direct descendant of William Tuttle of New Haven.

Also a teller of stories, artist, poet, writer of essays, etc. Am in the process of recording my stories. Always wanted to have a blog but never happened. 37 year member of the DAR through my patriot, Capt. Lucius Tuttle of CT. Descendant of the last woman to be accused of witchcraft in VA. She was tried, convicted and sentenced to the trial by water. She was able to free herself and rise from the water. Was then sentenced to seven years in prison, released and lived out her life on her farm. She is called “The Witch of Pungo” and you can read about her on Wikipedia and the internet.

Your biographies are quoted from a gen. Book I am not familiar with..is it in reprint? Glad to call you cousin, Lula Tuttle Sinnott #2196. Tree Hugger rep.

Hey another cousin! :) I have lots of close cousins but I do not jest when I say I am cousin to everyone. So distant cousins are most welcome in my sphere of influence! I see we have both DAR and accused witch ancestors in common. Also -- you say my "biographies are quoted from a gen book you are not familiar with -- which ones exactly. 99% of the time I include a link to them. Let me know and I will see if I can find an online source for you.

Hi Janice,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
