George Adam Weaver was born February 22, 1881 in New Holland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA. He was named George because he was born on Washington's Birthday. His middle name Adam came from his Uncle Adam Weaver. [1] George was the second child and second son born to his parents Benjamin Fletcher Weaver and Clara (Haag) Weaver, who would have five children, three boys and two girls, between 1880 and 1887. George's siblings names were: Benjamin Franklin Weaver who died in infancy, Charles Haag Weaver, Maria (Titus) Weaver and Melete Weaver who also died in infancy. [2]

George's son George, Jr., who lived in New Jersey would drive to Philadelphia to bring his Father and Aunt home to visit on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. They would always bring Pumpkin and Minced Meat pies they purchased at Horn & Hardart's, a famous food service company located near their home.
George lived with his sister until a few months before his death. Near the end of his life George suffered with severe dementia and had to be institutionalized. George died of heart failure from the effects of senility on July 28, 1965 at the age of 84 in Byberry State Hospital, in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
George's remains were cremated. There was no burial and the cremains were never claimed by family. Disposal of the ashes is unknown.
