John Wardlaw born 1737 Augusta County, Virginia and died 1791 Abbeville District, South Carolina.[5]
William Wardlaw born about 1745 Virginia and died Feb 7 1819 in Brownburg, Virginia.[6]
Hugh Wardlaw born 1740 Augusta County, Virginia and died Nov 14 1802 Abbeville County, Virginia.[7]
Joseph Wardlaw, born about 1742 Virginia and died Oct 5 1795 in Abbeville, South Carolina[8]
Robert Wardlaw born about 1748 Virginia and died about 1820 in Ohio.[9]
Margaret Wardlaw born about 1747-1750 Virginia and died in Virginia.[9]
According to the Wardlaw Genealogy, William Wardlaw and family were associated with the New Providence Church and Timber Ridge Church. New Providence was organized in 1746 and William was named as a communicant to Timber Ridge in 1753.[10]
Three of his sons moved to Abbeville District, South Carolina between 1766 and 1767:
John Wardlaw, Hugh Wardlaw and Joseph Wardlaw.
He passed away in Rockbridge County, Virginia abt May 1762.[11]
