"11. Hopestill Ward, born January 24, 1647, in Sudbury, Mass., died December 23, 1718, in Marlborough, Mass. She married April 22, 1678, in Marlborough, Deacon James Woods, born July 18, 1647, died August 7, 1718, in Marlborough, son of John and Mary (Parminter?) Woods of Sudbury.

"In the Middlesex County records of the births of their children she is erroneously called "Bethiah"; also in Marlborough records of their firstborn. Her will gave £5 for the relief of poor members of the church. See also references on page 55 of Chapter X.

"Children, born in Marlborough, Mass:

83. Bethiah, born September 14, 1679, died December 12, 1695.

84. Mary, born April 29, 1681, died in infancy.

85. Mary, born February 5, 1683, died September 13 of the same year.

86. James, bom 1684, died in infancy.

87. James, bom October 11, 1685, died April 10, 1772, in Marlborough, Mass. He married (1) March 19. 1719, in Marlborough, Dorothy Barnes, bom May (or March) 24, 1698, in Marlborough, died November 10, 1734, in Marlborough, daughter of John and Hannah Barnes. He married (2) January 20, 1736, Hepzibah Eager (daughter of 74), bom April 4, 1702, died December 31, 1768, in Marlborough.
