"14. Bethiah Ward, born about 1658 in Sudbury, Mass., died December 8, 1721, in Marlborough, Mass. She married January 10, 1681, in Marlborough, Daniel Rice, born November 8, 1655, in Sudbury, died July 14, 1737, in Marlborough, son of Deacon Edward and Ann Rice, and grandson of Edmund Rice, one of the pioneer settlers of Sudbury and Marlborough.
"Their house was one of those fortified 1711-1713 against Indian attacks. He married (2) Elizabeth (Wells) Wheeler, widow of John Wheeler.

95. Bethiah, born October 29,1682, married October 26,1708, Jonathan Newton, born September 30, 1679, died 1759, son of Moses and Johanna (Larkin) Newton. All of these occurrences were of Marlborough, Mass.
96. Daniel, bom June 3, 1684, married February 12, 1713, in Marlborough, Mass., Elizabeth Taylor, born August 1, 1688, daughter of William and Mary (Johnson) Taylor. They moved to Shrewsbury, Mass., some years after the birth of their last child, but apparently returned to Marlborough after the death of Daniel Rice, Senior. She married (2) Captain Gershom Wneelock of Shrewsbury.
97. Judith, born September 29, 1687, died unmarried.
98. Luke, born November 30, 1689, died July 4, 1754. He married December 14, 1715, m Marlborough, Mass., Rachel Stow, born February 21, 1690, in Marlborough, died after 1771, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Stow. They moved to Shrewsbury, Mass., between 1737 and 1740, and he was assessor there in 1742.
99. Priscilla, born April 6, 1692, died December 24, 1721, in Marlborough, Mass.
100. Eleazer, born May 16, 1695, died after 1767. He married December 8, 1720, in Concord. Mass.. Thankful Fletcher, daughter of Samuel and Mary Fletcher of Chelmsford, Mass. They lived first in Marlborough, Mass., and later in Boston.
Children: Bethiah, Thankful, Eleazer, Mary.
101. Deborah, born November 14, 1697, died December 1. 1725, in Marlborough, Mass. She married January 26, 1725, in Marlborough (as his second wife) James Brown. He had two wives after her death.
Child: Susannah.
102. Hopestill, born October 22, 1702, died January 1731 in Marlborough, Mass. She married 1727 or 1728 Edward Wilson, born October 3, 1689, in Newton, Mass., died January 29, 1759, in Shrewsbury, Mass., son of Nathaniel and Hannah (Oliver) Wilson. He married (2) Margaret Angier.
