Biography
Sarah Taylor Walker was born on January 22, 1845 in Potts Creek, Alleghany, Virginia, United States, daughter of Henry Walker (1806–1891) and Maria Rankin Shawver (~1816–1897).[1]
Sarah (22) married Robert Bruce McCaleb (45) (born in 1823 in Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky, United States) on July 1, 1869 in Alleghany.[2]
Their children were:
- John H. McCaleb (1870–1885)
- Mary McCaleb (1872–>1880)
- Robert Marshall McCaleb (1876–1963)
- Thomas Busby McCaleb (1879–1949)
She lived in Alleghany, Virginia, United States in 1860,[3] and Boiling Spring, Alleghany, Virginia, United States in 1870 and 1880,[4][5]
In 1892, her husband died in the Weston State Hospital, Weston, Lewis County, West Virginia, USA and is buried in the Hospital Cemetery.[6]
In 1910, Sarah lived in Covington, Alleghany, Virginia, United States.[7]
She died on 7 June 1918, in Covington, Alleghany, Virginia, United States, at the age of 73,[8] and was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington, Goochland, Virginia, United States.[9]
