Biography

Hanna Vetch was undoubtedly the daughter of Andrew Vetch and Elizabeth Williams, of Lebanon, Connecticut. There is no Lebanon birth record for her, but records there seem to only contain information about a single "Vetch" family.[1][2] She was probably born between 1705-1710.

She married Amos Spafford in Lebanon on January 4, 1732-3.[2][3] (Spofford cites "Jan. 24, 1733 (old style)").[4]

Hannah was living on March 22, 1743 (birth of her youngest known child).[5]

Children

Children of Amos and Hannah (Vetch) Spafford, all born in Lebanon:

  1. Elizabeth Spafford, born February 20, 1734; died April 18, 1752.[4][6][7]
  2. Sarah Spafford, born January 13, 1736; married, 1764, Parker Peabody.[4][8][9]
  3. Mary Spafford, born April 3, 1738; married, 1758, Elisha Pratt.[4][10][11]
  4. Andrew Spafford, born March 22, 1743; married Molly Chamberlin.[4][5]
