Alexander Tureaud is Notable.

Alexander Pierre "A. P." Tureaud, Sr. was an African-American attorney who headed the legal team for the New Orleans chapter of the NAACP during the Civil Rights Movement. He helped initiate the lawsuits which eventually forced the Orleans Parish School System to desegregate.[1]

Alexander Pierre Tureaud, son of Louis Tureaud and Eugenie Dejan, was born in New Orleans in 1899.[2]

In 1931, he married Lucille Albertine Dejoie.[3]

He passed away in 1972.[4][5]
