Margaret Stewart, Countess of Angus, was the wife of Thomas, Earl of Mar, and daughter of Thomas Stewart, Earl of Angus, Lord of Abernethy & his wife Margaret Sinclair, She died sometime between 1417 and 23 Mar 1418. She was the sister-in-law of William Douglas's wife, Margaret of Mar. She was also the mistress of William, 1st Earl of Douglas.
She succeeded to the title of 3rd Countess of Angus [S., 1329] in 1361, suo jure. As a result of her marriage, Margaret Stewart, Countess of Angus was styled as Countess of Mar. She resigned as Countess of Angus, in favour of the father of her children, George Douglas, reserving for herself the frank tenement thereof for life on 9 April 1389.
