Mrs. Wilma Claudia Stevenson Chiasson was originally named Claudia Lou Stevenson. Her family always called her Wilma, (the younger twin of her brother William) and she legally changed her name to Wilma Claudia about the time of her marriage to Mr. George Ray Chiasson, of Chackbay, Louisiana. Wilma grew up in Litchfield, Illinois, and Beresford, South Dakota. She lived for a time on the west coast with a family who cared for her, when her mother was having a hard time (following the death of Tina's husband/Wilma's father). I believe Wilma was a valedictorian of her high school class in Beresford. Wilma was a nurse. To the best of my knowledge, Wilma and her husband George could not have children. I think Wilma was injured in her work as a nurse, from lifting patients. She later worked for many years for a dentist. She and her husband George provided a loving home for Wilma's mother Tina, after Tina retired from her job in South Dakota. Wilma was dearly loved by her family. She rests in the cemetery of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chackbay/Thibodaux, Lafourche parish, Louisiana, where her husband, her mother, and her sister (and many in-laws), also rest.
