Biography

Newton was born in 1823. He is the son of John Spicer and Hannah Webb.

He spent his life in the clergy, having taken that vocation before he married Matilda Mary Daniell in 1850 in his home church in Esher.

They raised a family as Newton took the position of rector in different parishes - in 1871 they were in Byfleet, and in 1891 in East Woodhay.

Newton died in 1891.
