Calvin Spencer was born on September 23, 1753 in East Haddam, Hartford, Connecticut Colony, son of Samuel Spencer (1708–1757) and Hannah Hawley (1726–1758).[1] [2]

Calvin (28) married Rebecca Ford (17) (born in 1764 in Georgetown, South Carolina; daughter of George Ford and Ann (Shaw) Ford) on August 22, 1782 in Santee, Orangeburg, South Carolina. Their children were:

In 1790, Calvin (36) was living in St Thomas, Cheraws District, South Carolina. [3]

In 1800, Calvin (46) was living in Chesterfield, South Carolina. [4]

Calvin died on January 1, 1801 in Cheraw, Chesterfield, South Carolina, United States, aged 47.
