Biography

Ichabod was born in 1755, the son of Samuel Spencer and Hannah Hawley. He passed away in 1819.
Name and birthdate data shown herein was transcribed by Daniel Brown from an original hand-typed document containing 31 Spencer names and respective birth-dates pertaining to this Spencer Family lineage. Said data was originally transcribed by James D. Spencer [1883-1954] from a Spencer Family Bible then in his possession. James D. Spencer provided that document to Robert Milton Brown in the 1930s and it is now in the possession of Robert's son, Daniel R. Brown, of Glens Falls, New York.

The Spencer and Brown family lines merge with Sarah M. (Spencer) Thomas [1831-1887], maternal third great-grandmother of said Daniel R. Brown. The latter has been researching the Brown and related Spencer line for about 20 years and, in regard to the document prepared by James D. Spencer, Daniel has to-date not discovered any known discrepancies or conflicting data in the document prepared by James D. Spencer.^[1]
