The Profile Improvement Project's mission is to ensure profiles of ancestors across the one shared tree are improved. Profiles not cared for by Profile Managers or Projects often need some attention. That's where we come in. Working together, we can help more profiles shine.

Profile Improvement Project members will work in four Teams: the Category Team, the Unknowns Team, the Voyage Team, and the Biography Team. Please read the descriptions and visit the pages, then choose one or more to join.

• The Category Team will review profiles currently in a top level categories to determine whether they can be moved to a Project category or a location category of the same type.

• The Unknowns Team will be working to improve the integrity of WikiTree by identifying and updating profiles without valid names.

• The Voyage Team will be working with WikiTreers who would like to learn to demonstrate the skills needed to improve profiles to their most complete state using the community developed Guidelines.

• The Biography Teams will be working on improving biographies to a specific standard using the Project's profile standards as laid out in the three level rubric.

The three Biography Teams will be:

• Biography Team - These profiles will be chosen by PIP members from their own Watchlist (and whatever else you find).
• Abandoned Team - Profiles from Closed Accounts and profiles identified as needing help by having project categories.
• Popular Team - Profiles identified by the Team to be often searched via the internet. Voyage graduation is required to be a member of this team.
