On 20 Jan 1821, the town clerk of Livermore, Maine, certified that "an intention of marriage between Mr. Alpheus Whittemore & Miss Hannah Smith both of Livermore hath been entered & published in the Town of Livermore as the Law directs." [2]
Death
A gravestone at the Moose Hill Cemetery in Livermore Falls, Maine, says that Hannah Smith died on 13 Dec 1880, at the age of 81 years, 3 months, 15 days.[3]
