Living with him was his wife Cecelia B. Shriver, 40, and their children Robert L. Shriver, 18; Thomas F. Shriver, 16; Mary J. Shriver, 15; William Shriver, 13; John S. Shriver, 12; Roberta L. Shriver, 10; Andrew K. Shriver, 10; John L. Shriver, 6; and Sarah A. Shriver, 2.[1]
1900 U.S. federal census - In the 1900 census, William, 68, was a bookkeeper in Westminster, Carroll County, Maryland. Counted in the same household are his wife, Roberta, 58, and children Mary J., 35; Roberta L., 28; John L., 24; Sarah A., 22 and Emma T., 18. Also listed as a daughter is S.W. Shrimmer, 12. This is probably Susan Wilson Shriver who was actually 10 years old.[2]
