Biography
Ethel (Settles) Carter is a part of US Black heritage.
Ethel Delores Settles was born on 27 Mar 1929 in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama to parents Thomas Jefferson Settles Sr. and Viola Elizabeth Hutchinson. [1] [2]
She married firstly Purnell James Goodenough, a Tuskegee Airmen Pilot in World War II, about 1951 in Birmingtham, Jefferson, Alabama. [3]
Children: Diane Carol, daughter, son.
After Purnell died in 1965 she married secondly Harold M Carter on 2 May 1970 in Los Angeles, California. [4]
She died on 11 Jan 1994 in Los Angeles, California. [5] [6] She was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina, Los Angeles, California.
