Note: Archibald Bennett's research clearly states Dorothea was born 8 Apr 1735 and bap. 17 Apr 1735, citing the pg 11 of the same register later added to by Rev Schwerdtfeger and their first two sons. The "4 Jan 1740" data sometimes referred to is likely in error.

Anna Dorothea and John Samuel were almost certainly married in 1759 at Earltown (New Holland) Evangelical Church, Lancaster, PA. There may be baptismal / birth records there of their first born son Benjamin (b 24 Sep 1760, died six days later). The next two sons, John Augustin and Daniel, were baptised there in 1761 and 1763 respectively.

This place: Williamsburg, Williamsburgh, Dundas, Upper Canada isn't correct. Williamsburgh was the name of the township in 1818 when Dorothea died. Dundas is a more recent label. So is the town of Williamsburg.

It's okay to use Schwerdtfeger as the family name for this generation but even that is murky. Some of the sons used it; some used Schwerdfeger. Rev John Samuel himself dropped the "t" in his church writings which survive (but the "t" is definitely used in his school age records back in Germany). To be even more confusing, he dropped the "c" as well -- Shwerdfeger is the spelling you will find in his marriage and birth records in his hand which survive. I am inclined to use "Schwerdfeger" for him but "Schwerdtfeger" is fine.

Schwab-130 and Schwab-1441 appear to represent the same person because: Hi, I had the wrong DOB that is mentioned on Schwab-130's profile as an error: 4 Jan 1740. That is probably why your profile didn't come up as a likely match when I was making mine.
