  3. Wedding: Northern Star (Lismore, NSW: 1876 - 1954) Tue 3 May 1932 Page 8: MOTT—SALKELD. St. Mark's Church of England, Nimbin, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on February 23 when Isabelle Harriet, third daughter of the late Mr. William and Mrs. Salkeld, of Wadeville, was married to Thomas William, second son of Mr. J. and Mrs. G. Mott, of Wadeville.
As the bride entered the church on the arm of her brother (Mr. J. Salkeld), who subsequently gave her away, the congregation sang "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden." The. Rev. Rigby officiated.
The bride was frocked in white crepe de chine, trimmed with tiny bows and piped with ivory satin and finished with picot edged frills. She wore the customary wreath and veil, kindly lent by her sister-in-law (Mrs. H. Salkeld). She also carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses, asters and gerberas, tied with white satin streamers.
Miss Lexie Salkeld (sister of the bride) and Miss Freda Mott were bridesmaids, the former wearing a dress of shell pink crepe de chine, made with double flared skirt and cape collar, and finished with tiny hand made bows. She also wore a hat to match and carried a bouquet of pink roses and gerberas, tied with pink ribbon. Miss Freda Mott wore saxe blue crepe de chine, trimmed with champagne and finished with frills and hemstitching, with a saxe blue hat to tone, and carried a posy of asters, roses, and gerberas, tied with pink ribbon streamers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. G. Mott as best man and Mr. P. Salkeld acted as groomsman. Mrs. Rigby presided at the organ.
The bridal party left the church as the Wedding March was being played and adjourned to the School of Arts, where about sixty guests assembled. Mrs. Salkeld, mother of the bride, who received the guests, wore a dress of navy blue crepe de chine, relieved with mastic bows and pipings, and a black hat. She carried a posy of purple asters.
Mrs. Mott, mother of the bridegroom, wore brown marocain, trimmed with champagne satin, and wore a black hat.
The vicar presided at the breakfast and the usual toasts were honoured. The bridal couple were the recipients of many beautiful presents, including cheques. After the reception they left by car en route to Ballina and Byron Bay, where their honeymoon was spent. The bride's travelling frock was of cinnamon brown crepe de chine, relieved with pipings and tiny bows of coffee shade satin. She also wore hat, shoes, hose and gloves to match, also a brown marocain dust coat, the present of the bridegroom. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaids were gold brooches and the bride's gift to the bridegroom was an xylonite shaving outfit. Mr. and Mrs. Mott's future home will be at Wadeville
