Mary de Roos, was the daughter of Robert de Roos, Knt., of Helmsley, Yorkshire and Isabel d'Aubeney.[1][2] Mary's date and place of birth are unknown, her birth date is estimated to be about 1250.[3]
Mary married in or before 1271, as his third wife, to William de Brewes, Knt., 1st Lord Brewes, son of John de Brewes and Margaret of Wales.[1][4] Mary's maritagium included the manor of Weaverthorpe, Yorkshire.[1] Mary and William had three sons and two or more daughters.
Margaret, married Ralph de Camoys, Knt., Lord Camoys.[1]
Sir William de Braose, 1st Lord Brewes, died at Findon, Sussex on 6 January 1290/1 and was buried at Sell, Sussex on 15 January.[1]
In 1291, Mary received the manor at Tetbury, Gloucestershire as dower and, the following year, she and her step-son, William, granted the manor at Tetbury to her son, Richard, in place of Brewes family manors in Sussex.[1]
Mary presented to the church of Manningford Bruce, Wiltshire in 1314. Mary, Lady Brewes, died testate shortly before 23 May 1326.[1][4]
