Salome died probably at the end of February 1836 and was buried in the Himmel Churchyard on 1 March 1836.[1] Her headstone names her as Salome Reitz, wife of Michael Tryon. Her birthdate is also given as 10 Feb 1805. The raised level of the ground obscures the next line(s) of the inscription, but the date 1836 can be read.
