Emma F. Reed was born about 1867[1] in Massachusetts[1]. She was the child[1] of Elizabeth and Charles Reed, and the sister of Civil War veterans Charles E. Reed and Joseph W. Reed of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.
