Biography

Ruth Poore was born in 1762, the daughter of Joseph Poor and Margaret Bailey.^[1]

Ruth married her second cousin Benjamin Poor, in Haverhill in 1784.^[2][3][4] Ruth and Benjamin had five children, born in Rowley, MA:

1. Betty, b. 22 Feb. 1786 (recorded on both Rowley and Haverhill records)
2. Ora, b. 24 Aug. 1787
3. Benjamin, b. 3 Sep. 1794
4. Eri, b. 15 Jan. 1798, and
5. Mary Ann, b. 27 July 1805.

She died in 1828, at the age of 65.^[5][6]
