Biography
The earliest known ancestor of this Perry family is John, a clergyman who died at Farnborough, Hampshire, England in 1621. Bertram Adams located two pertinent documents:[1]
- a Letter of Admistration for the estate of "John Perrie of Farnborough, Clerk" granted to his widow Judith on May 3, 1622. The inventory was completed on August 23, 1621, closer to his time of death.
- an apprenticeship indenture for son John with the Clothworkers Company of London dated November 26, 1621 stating that John Jr's father was a member of the clergy who died in 1621.
John's wife was named Judith (birth surname unconfirmed) and they are thought to have had at least two sons:
- John b Nov 1604; m Johanna Holland[2]
- William b ca 1606; died at Watertown, Massachusetts in 1683[3]
