Biography

Marjorie (Orme) Buchan was born in Cheshire, England.

Freda Marjorie Orme, known as Marjorie or Marge, was born in Congleton, Cheshire on Boxing Day, 26th December 1900, the daughter of William and Lydia.^[1][2][3][4] She was baptised at The Congregational Church, Mill Street, Congleton on 27th February 1901.^[5][6][7][8]

By 1911 the family had moved to Woodbridge, Suffolk.^[3]

Marjorie's first marriage was to Godfrey Dyson at Chesterfield in 1924.^[9] In 1936 she married William Buchan in Westminster.^[10]

In 1938 their only child, John Buchan was born. In 1939 the family were living in Sheffield.^[4]

Marjorie passed away in Sheffield on 10th October 1978.^[11][12]
