Joseph Noble was born in 1828 and baptised 07 September 1828 at Bolton le Moors St Peter, Lancashire, England He was the son of Joseph Noble and Alice Holden. [1]

Joseph married Maria Collins at Glebe, New South Wales in 1859. [2]

Research Notes

Researchers on Ancestry.com have pointed to the fact that biographers of Monty Noble (Joseph's son and Australian Cricketer) had commented that the family was from Surrey, England. This is likely to be in reference to Maria Collins, Joseph's wife. Joseph Noble's parents were Joseph and Alice which point to Christening and census records in Bolton, Lancashire.
