Juha was born in Ylitornio, Finland 1966. His parents are Kauko Niskakoski and Anneli (Gran) Niskakoski and he has two younger brothers.
He moved with family to Gothenburg, Sweden at age 4 in 1971 where he finished his education 1984 before briefly returning to Finland for his conscription in Sodankylä. 11 months later he returned to Sweden as a reservist second lieutenant.Juha moved to Salo, Finland in 1989 where he married Heile Soini 2004 and took her last name as his married name. Their mutual hobby is attending dog shows with their Gordon Setters and Field Spaniels.
He has worked at Volvo Spare Parts in Sweden - Ekofisk oil field in Norway and Omya Slurry factory in Finland among others.Life in different countries and good education has given Juha solid linguistic skills.
Juha became interested in genealogy 2017 when a cousin invited him to his MyHeritage tree. It soon became apparent that there were critical errors in Juha's approach to building his family tree, and he soon moved on to join WikiTree and started building his family from scratch.
He is self educated in genealogical research and sourcing.
Making good use of internet search options and asking questions when needed he is well suited to be a WikiTree mentor.

The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing a check-in with project members. Please review the following and let us know if you are content where we have placed you or would like to be more involved.
The Project operates in a team structure. There are currently three participant PIP Teams -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.
At our last check-in, you were identified as a member of the Unknowns Team. You are no longer listed on that page.
The Biography Team Level 1 works on profiles from their watchlist and other profiles that interest them. Biography Team Level 2 works on orphaned profiles from a provided list. Biography Team Level 3 works on notable profiles from the Project’s Maintenance Categories. Would you like to be a member of one of those teams? If you are interested in working with a different Team, please let us know.
If you have not already done so, we invite you to join the email GoogleGroup. We use the WikiTree Discord server #profile-improvement channel for our project. Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.
If you have not already done so, we invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. (You will need your Wiki ID for both). Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.
We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project meet its goals. We would like to hear about the successes you’ve had and would also appreciate any feedback you have to help improve the Project. Please share your thoughts in a reply to this comment or via private message to one of us.

I have Finnish and Swedish heritage and ancestors. You and I are a GedMatch. I compared our trees in an effort to find a common ancestor, but was unsuccessful. Perhaps you can compare. The names are difficult for me, as I dont speak Finnish or Swedish. Thanks and have a great day.
I like to join the Great War Project. I was going to put the Great War sticker on this profile but I only have information from tombstone.

Thank you for your participation in October’s 2020 Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.
Keep up the great work!

Thank you for adding me to the Nordic Project. Is there anything I can do?

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. The Getting the Best from DNA page will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.
Take care,
Mindy ~ WikiTree Volunteer Greeter
Wondering if you can help Sammuel Knight, I am working on his profile. I was wondering if there is a special category that you can insert on his profile for recording the 1777 "Bennington Battle" and he also marched to Stillwater (isn't that ? Saratoga) "Battle of Saratoga". He served for Connecticut first then Massachusetts. I have not figured his flag sticker as of yet. I did want to see if the battles can be categorized, if I have the proper information needed. Let me know what I can do to help, I did not want to add anything without proper approval and knowledge.
Thank you, Lori

Actually, with all that you do, I'd be amazed if you didn't reach 1000. You are a superior WikiTreer and just a good person to boot.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stubbs-2408 needs a Military and War Badge for a living veteran. who was wounded in Vietnam War. I wrote on email to you, but may be lost in the scads of leader stuff you receive. I just advised him re: Pre-1700's last week, so he may not be ready for the google group.
Needs the special template for sticker for living veterans of Vietnam...
